Generate Random Numbers Instantly

This random number generator picks one or more numbers between any minimum and maximum you choose. Generate whole numbers (integers) or decimals, up to 100 at a time. You can choose whether duplicates are allowed and sort the results in ascending order. The generator also shows quick statistics for each set: minimum, maximum, mean and median.

Popular Uses

  • Picking a giveaway or raffle winner by entry number.
  • Choosing random students, teams or presentation order.
  • Rolling virtual dice: set min 1 and max 6.
  • Generating lottery-style picks with duplicates turned off.
  • Creating sample data for statistics homework or testing.

Unique Numbers Without Duplicates

Turn off "Allow Duplicates" to make every number in the set different, like drawing numbered balls from a bin without putting them back. When duplicates are off, the range must contain at least as many whole numbers as you ask for. For example, you cannot draw 10 unique integers from 1 to 5.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these numbers truly random?

They are generated by your browser's pseudo-random number generator, which is more than random enough for games, giveaways, classroom use and sampling. It is not intended for cryptography or security purposes.

Can I include negative numbers?

Yes. Set a negative minimum, such as −50, and the generator will pick numbers anywhere in the range you choose.

How do I pick a random winner from a list of names?

Number your list from 1 to N, set the minimum to 1 and the maximum to N, and generate a single number. The person with that number wins.
